The MEGAL bullet-resistant glass in BR5“S” class is a laminated glazing system which, in accordance with EN 1063, provides protection against rifle fire, in particular against 5.56 × 45 mm ammunition used in weapons such as the M16 rifle. This ballistic protection class is intended to safeguard people and property against threats associated with the use of modern military firearms with high projectile energy.

Typical use case: high-security government and diplomatic facilities, military and strategic installations, embassies, command centers, security posts, correctional facilities and detention centers, VIP protection installations, and critical infrastructure.

For every pane of glass we produce, we issue a declaration confirming the product class, supported by testing carried out by international certification bodies. Bullet-resistant glass for special purposes must first and foremost protect human life and property, which is why the precision and quality of our products is confirmed through regular testing. Bullet-resistant glass BR5"S" is also manufactured in thermal insulation units.
