The MEGAL bullet-resistant glass in class BR4"NS" is laminated glass which, in accordance with standard EN 1063, provides protection against fire from handguns, in particular against revolver ammunition of .44 Magnum calibre. This is a ballistic protection class designed to protect people and property against threats associated with the use of high-powered handguns with significantly elevated bullet energy.
Typical use case: high-security government and diplomatic buildings, military facilities, embassies, courthouses, prisons and detention centres, VIP and executive protection installations
For every pane of glass we produce, we issue a declaration confirming the product class, supported by testing carried out by international certification bodies. Bullet-resistant glass for special purposes must first and foremost protect human life and property, which is why the precision and quality of our products is confirmed through regular testing. Bullet-resistant glass BR4"NS" is also manufactured in thermal insulation units.
